        I have been using this sewing machine for about a year now.  I've just purchased a Necchi Supernova, and have put it in the treadle cabinet the Home Maker was occupying, so have decided to offer the Home Maker to someone who would like a machine that can be treadled and that does decorative stitches.

        It does 8 decorative stitches, plus the blind stitch, which when shortened, can be used as a buttonhole stitch for appliqué.  

        It has a light which is wired to plug into an outlet.  So you can treadle with good light and see what you are doing.  I have a sample of some of the stitches it will make at the bottom of this page.  I have added a picture showing where I stitched through 4 layers of heavy denim on the treadle with this machine.  It went through the denim with no extra effort!  Notice how straight the stitches are, unusual for a zigzag machine.
